Every time I meet with a new therapist one of the first questions they ask me and I’m sure everyone else gets this is “What do you want to get out of therapy?” My response is always “To be normal what ever that may be.” I continue by explaining that I need better self confidence, to stop having social thoughts and I want to feel happiness and joy.
Is this what you’d consider normal? Is it to much to ask for or expect? I know my meds aren’t going it for me. What is your definition of normal?
